“Every time I think of you, I give thanks to my God. Whenever I pray, I make my requests for all of you with joy, for you have been my partners in spreading the Good News about Christ from the time you first heard it until now.” (Philippians 1:3-5)

No work of God is done by any one person. It takes the partnership and cooperation of many coming together under one vision to accomplish God’s purposes in the earth. It was true for Paul, and it is true for ministries today.

All of us have a part to play in the plan of God. Even as I have been in ministry myself and had many generous people help me with their finances along the way, there have been ministries to which God joined my heart to support with my finances as well. In fact, one of the passages of scripture I really like to use in the context of partnership is found in the book of 1 Samuel.

And Saul also went home to Gibeah; and valiant men went with him, whose hearts God had touched (1 Samuel 10:26, emphasis mine). Saul had been anointed King, but he would need help. God touched the hearts of certain valiant men who felt a desire to see Saul fulfill God’s purpose. We too need those whose hearts are joined together with ours to see that God’s purpose for this ministry is fulfilled. We would ask everyone reading this to prayerfully consider whether the Lord has possibly touched your heart to help us.
